A-G Requirements
CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY - UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA - AND OTHER 4 YEAR COLLEGES require incoming students to have completed designated courses throughout high school. These particular classes each have an A-G letter assigned to them and are as follows:

A History/Social Science – 2 years

B English – 4 years

C Mathematics –3 years, 4 Recommended (Including Integrated I, Integrated 2, & Integrated 3)

D Laboratory science – 2 years, 3 Recommended (Including 1 physical and 1 life)

E Foreign Language – 2 years, 3 Recommended (The same language)

F Visual and performing arts – 1 year

G College-preparatory elective – 1 year (Chosen from the following areas: History, Social Science, English, advanced Mathematics, Science, Foreign Language, non-introductory Visual and Performing Arts)
Students MUST:
- Complete all College Preparatory/AP courses with a grade of “C” or BETTER.
- Complete 15 College-Preparatory Courses (“A-G” Courses), with AT LEAST 11 FINISHED by the END of your JUNIOR YEAR.
